Preparation for this year’s Mathematics GCSE has reached fever pitch as Woodham’s Year 11 students seek to outdo their predecessors. Last year’s students achieved record results with successes at grades C and above, and A and A*, both being best-ever performances.
Students are flocking to additional revision sessions in a determined effort to peak at the right time. Recent mock examinations have been encouraging and have given a real impetus to the final preparations that could make all the difference to each individual. Head of Mathematics, Steve Flynn, said, “Last year is a tough act to follow. I’m so impressed with the commitment and initiative shown by our new Year 11 working alongside our staff. I really think that they will come up trumps!”
