Jane Emily Littlefair and William Charles Washington both from Newton Aycliffe got married on 3rd June 2015 at the Scaglieri Castle, Malcesine, Lake Garda.
Jane attended Greenfield Community & Arts College and Will attended Woodham Technology College. They met whilst attending Queen Elizabeth 6th Form and then both went on to complete their degrees at Northumbria University. Will now works for Virgin Money and Jane works as a support worker and is also studying another degree in nursing at Teesside University which she is due to complete in December.
The service took place on a beautiful day on one of the terraces of the castle whilst a pianist played some of their favourite music during the ceremony. They were joined by 42 family and friends to celebrate their wedding. After the marriage ceremony guests were offered ice creams to cool themselves down, whilst they were waiting for the happy couple to have their wedding photographs taken. Once the photographs were taken and after the confetti throwing, everyone made their way to the harbour and were taken by boat to the wedding breakfast venue. At La Voglia restaurant everyone enjoyed canapés, drinks and a four course Italian meal. This was then followed by some very lively dancing.
Everyone had a brilliant time and some of the guests have already booked to return next year to this beautiful part of the world.
Jane and Will remained in Italy for a further week where they honeymooned and visited Venice, Florence and Rome. They can’t wait to return to this very special place for their first wedding anniversary.
They have returned to live in their home in Newton Aycliffe.
