Two Scottish people moved to Newton Aycliffe with their parents when they were young, and vowed never to settle here unless they met another Scot and married. This came true when Colin Neill met Michelle Turner and after living together, and having two children, they were married at Hall Garth Hotel on 22nd July 2016. Michelle is an NHS Receptionist at Durham Hospital and Colin an Injection Moulder employed at Formula Plastics. The Best Man was Den Townsend and bridesmaids were: Carley Gibson, Sam Crawley, Susan Facinelli, Joanne Neill and Katie Lawrie. The Ring Bearer was their son Cameron Neill and Flower Girl their daughter Amelia. They took a family holiday to Blue Dolphin, Scarborough for their honeymoon.
