Major Bus service changes in Newton Aycliffe from Sunday 28th October 2012.
Arriva are doing the following:- the 7A is being withdrawn. The weekday time service 7 will go from 2 to 4 per hour. Sunday’s & Bank Holiday’s will be 1 per hour not 2 as before during the daytime.
The 8A is being moved to another area some miles away! The 8 to Spennymoor will being going through the town centre via Central Avenue not Stephenson Way! Not the old way through Newton Aycliffe and there will be an hourly Sunday Service! [So you will need to go to a different bus stop on a different street in the Town Centre when going to Spennymoor etc!]
The 5/5A will continue through the town centre as before but will go via Aycliffe Industrial Estate instead of Aycliffe Village! The 8 and 21 will cover Aycliffe Village!
The 21 will go through the Town centre as before.
The new Timetables for Arriva 5/5A, 7, 8/8A, 21/21A are available online via new bus changes info. The printed leaflet versions when available will be on the Arriva Bus website plus should be available at Newton Aycliffe Library and Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, Town Centre. The 21/21A leaflet is already at these two places!
