Cllr Warburton’s attack on our MP is most unworthy. Whether you are for or against Labour there is no denying that Phil Wilson excelled himself as a Constituency MP to bring Hitachi to Aycliffe.
He wasn’t the only one but he led every step of the way as we in Aycliffe would expect. Most of the public aren’t daft they know those jobs could so easily have gone to Bombardier in Derby.
Alan Warburton on the other hand continues to be a dying breed of Great Aycliffe Independents most of whom have decided not to stand for re election, so watch this space to see which group he joins for the next elections in 2013.
Alan was one of the 3 Great Aycliffe Independents who visited the MP’s office some time ago to “see what was in it for them if they joined Labour.” A councillor who rubbishes everything done for this Town, never a positive word to say, let alone very few words indeed in the Council Chamber itself .. no! He won’t be standing for Labour we wouldn’t have him.
