A final push of 54.5km on ride 13 saw Lee complete the challenge of covering 500km in a month.
Lee said “The challenge was to raise funds and awareness for Combat Stress. Like many families in the area, I have family members with military service, who have been involved in active conflict and I would like to think that the help and support would be there for them if they needed it.”
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for Veterans mental health, and provides life changing treatment and support for veterans for all military services and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues.
Their specialist treatment doesn’t just change lives, it saves them too.
It is estimated that last year alone, 12,500 veterans benefited from their help, but the charity needs your help to continue to meet the rising demand for its specialist treatment.
Lee added “I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement throughout this challenge. With the generosity of others, I smashed my original goal of £360, and fundraising to date has raised over £500, with some cash payments still to be added to the total.”
