Dear Sir,
Relating to the letter in last week’s paper about the loud bangs. I also live in Woodham and have heard these loud bangs for weeks now starting from 6.30 in the morning onwards.
I am intrigued to what this is, as my dog is very nervous with loud noises and due to this it is making it impossible to walk him some days as he is scared.

Editor: It would appear that a local farmer is using Bird Scaring apparatus to keep them off the crops. We have suggested people contact the County Council Environment Department.
