Hannah Featherstone was one of the small group of swimmers from the North East who qualified for the British Championships held at the Aquatic Centre London during the 14th to 18th April.
She swam in the 50,100, 200 and 400 Freestyle eventswith a performance following the pattern of all Sedgefield swimmers this year, improving entry time in the heats and again in the final.
Competing in the 16 year age group she made four finals and took the bronze medal in the 100 200 and 400, her times were 57:12, 2:02 and 4:19. A truly outstanding performance and one that may merit her selection to compete in the 2015 European Games to be held in Azerbaijan 21st to 28th June.

In a competition nearer to home Rebecca Hall and Daniel Hall had a great weekend at the Middlesborough Open Meet on the 18th and19th April. Rebecca swam in the 200 & 100 Breast stroke and the 200 FS and the 50 Back and took gold in all her swims
Daniel one of the youngest swimmers in B Squad competed in the 200 and 100 Back stroke and the 50 FS and the 50 Breast stroke. He made all four finals taking gold in the 100 Back and Silver in the 200 Back.
Niall Coulthard and Jessica Hall attended an ASA training day conducted by Fred Furness at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre along with all the other medal winners from the N&D Championships. The young swimmers were all viewed as potential candidates for the Beacon Programme as a result of their success to date.
Sedgefield 75 ASC is hosting the Durham Hub training day at NALC Saturday 25th April. This is an opportunity for the best swimmers in Durham to come together in a training environment.
