Pastor John Greenow is getting on his bike on the 4th June! You may have noticed him cycling around the town with a yellow jacket on, well now the challenge is on to go from Whitehaven to Sunderland in 3 days.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for about ten years and finally managed to get the opportunity” said John. “I realise that many people have completed it, so it’s not exactly a Guiness book of records feat, but for me it’s a big deal! I’m fundraising for the charity ‘cloud nine’ through which we as a church sponsor many local projects to help the people of Newton Aycliffe such as a food bank, practical help for people in need, children’s clubs in the community, so all of the money raised is making a difference in our own community.
