Local musician Steven Midgley died over a year ago. The music and songs he left behind live on. His first two albums have been re-released by his parents, Ian and Clare Midgley in a bid to raise funds towards a new Community Interest Company.
This will aim to support people who are emotionally upset or distressed. Two CDs are available at the moment at a cost of £8 each including postage, or you can collect one for £6. There are over 30 other tracks to come.
‘In Cold Blood’ was produced in 2004 as ‘The Lounge Lizzards’, ‘Deeper than Dark’ came later and local musicians Tim Corbridge and Andy Wood supported Steve in his musical ventures. Yet to be released are ‘The Lost Album’, ’Head in a Vice’ and ’Iceberg Dead Ahead’. Sample tracks can be heard on ‘Youtube’
If you would like to find out how the profits from Steven’s music will be making a difference, you can contact Clare or Ian on 01325 308283 or balanceholistic@yahoo.co.uk – Search YOU TUBE under ‘Steve Midgley in Cold Blood’ to hear ‘Summer Breeze’ from the CD.
