A Newton Aycliffe opticians is marking 15 years of serving the local community this month – and is giving away prizes to customers to celebrate.
Staff at Specsavers in the town centre will commemorate the milestone with a special birthday bash on Saturday 10 August complete with cake and balloons.
And to top it off, three customers will have the chance to get their hands on a range of prizes, with the winner receiving a £50 voucher to be used in the family activity centre, Planet Leisure.
Fiona Curtis, store director at Specsavers in Newton Aycliffe, says: ‘Supporting the local community is at the heart of what we do here at Specsavers, so what better way to celebrate our 15th anniversary than by giving something back to our loyal customers?
‘Cake is being provided on the day by local dessert shop, Love Thy Cupcake and our winning prize is being supplied by nearby family centre, Planet Leisure. We are delighted to see the community coming together to mark this landmark occasion.’
Since it opened its doors 15 years ago, the store has lent its support to Comic Relief, the Royal National Institute for Blind People, Vision Aid Overseas and Dementia Friends to name but a few.
Fiona continues: ‘We are extremely proud of our achievements over the past 15 years.
‘We remain committed to providing the people of Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas with the best optical and hearing services available and look forward to many more years serving the local community.’
