Ryan Metcalfe, a magician from School Aycliffe, is raising money for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign through a magic show in August.
The internationally acclaimed magician is a familiar face of the region, having worked professionally at local venues such as Redworth Hall, Wynyard Hall and Hotel Bannatyne. Although Ryan normally performs close-up magic at parties, corporate functions and weddings, he is performing a one-off stage show inspired by the likes of Derren Brown to raise as much money as possible for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign.
Ryan has already raised thousands of pounds for charity through auctioning himself as part of charity auctions at fundraising events at which he has worked, including a fundraising ball for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign in May.
