Georgia Thelwell Age 10 from Aycliffe Village has just won the Under 12 Girl World Freestyle Championships 2013 on Sunday at Blackpool, Winter Gardens. She competed against girls from South Africa, Norway, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, 46 in total and came away with the World title.
Georgia trains 6 days a week at Aspire on Aycliffe Business Park with her dance school ‘Stepping Out’ dance teacher Clare Walton.
She is a sponsored Premier Championship dancer at the highest level you can achieve in ADFP freestyle and this is a huge achievement for her, the dance teacher, and the training centre in Aycliffe at Aspire.
After an audition 2 weeks ago Georgia has been offered a place at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham on the Junior Associate Saturday programme in association with The Birmingham Royal Ballet, starting September 2013.
This is a prestigious school, a big commitment and a huge achievement. Georgia trains at The Tiffany School of Dance in Darlington for her ballet, under dance teacher Rachel Tiffany,
