Inside the Box is a mobile bar and catering unit available for both private and commercial hire and it’s been built right here, in Newton Aycliffe. Over the course of 2020, Adam and his wife Sharna have been working with local contractors, supporting them throughout the COVID outbreak and in-turn delivering what they believe is the best mobile bar on the market.
“Our vintage horsebox has not just had a paint job and a fridge put in it, it’s a state of the art unit with 4G broadband, contactless payments, and draught alcohol systems, not to mention it’s full ground-up rebuild thanks to the people of Aycliffe.”
They have relied heavily on great contractors and individuals on the town to bring this project together including local body shops, fabricators, plumbers, electricians and even alcohol suppliers.
Adam, who already works in the hospitality industry with his existing business, said;
“There is a massive gap in the market that needs filling in the local area, especially due to the events of 2020. People are trying to re-arrange weddings, missed out on important celebrations and are looking for opportunities to meet up with their friends and family in a safe way, once restrictions are lifted, this bar delivers all of that.”
Recently completed, it is currently sited at Croft Christmas Trees, near Darlington, for the festive period serving a range of hot drinks and treats and Adam & Sharna invite you along to its first outing.
The unit is available for hire throughout 2021 in a range of configurations but as a starting point, it begins life as Rory’s Bar, named after their Red Labrador.
“We wanted to name the configuration with meaning and in a bar that is full of quirks, our crazy lab was the perfect solution to the problem,” said Sharna.
So, if you are looking for something different, it can fit in your back garden for a private party, become a bar in a remote location for a wedding or be hired out to other hospitality-related businesses to extend their existing services.
