Further to Vince Crosby’s letter in 5th March edition of the Newton News, volunteer litter pickers have now met twice.
I thought readers may be interested to see photos of some of the rubbish collected recently (in a little over an hour), in the area from Horndale Park, under the subway and to the fields at the back of Eskdale. We even found a crisp packet discarded in 2007 – with even earlier dates found. A stark reminder that litter doesn’t just disappear!
