Dear Sir,
Lifeline Community Action is an Aycliffe based charitable group committed to helping people in our community. Their small group of staff and volunteers work extremely hard to provide help, support and guidance to so many people in the town.
Whether it’s their Helping Hands, or Children’s Blessings projects or simply providing covid cleaning packs where they are needed, or advice and guidance through their job club. If that wasn’t enough they also provide a pre-loved school uniform service for anyone who needs their help and provide a safe and welcoming environment for their popular pre-bookable knit and natter session.
With the best will in the world this small group of dedicated people can only do so much and the demand for the services they provide is increasing to such an extent they need to recruit more volunteers to enable them to help more people in the community.
No offer of help is too small and being able to help out for a couple of hours a week could make a major difference to the level of service they are able to provide and the number of days their facility in the Thames Centre could be open to the public.
If you would like to help and have a few hours a week free time please contact Lifeline Community Action at the The Acorn Unit, St Clare’s Church, St. Cuthbert’s Way, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham DL5 5NT.
