Reception age children who will be starting school in September 2013 are enjoying the opportunity to get to know their new classmates in a ‘Snack and Story’ session offered by the Children’s Centre at Newton Aycliffe Library.
First up this week were the parents and children of Byerley Park Primary School. The children enjoyed stories, games and a snack before having the opportunity to join the library and borrow books.
Each school in Newton Aycliffe has taken up the offer of sessions and will be contacting the parents of their new starters directly.
Newton Aycliffe Children’s Centre will be offering more fun sessions for each individual school in the next few weeks. Parents will be contacted directly by the schools concerned.
