People looking to get active this New Year can pick up a free taster pass to discover what’s new at their local leisure centre.
Anyone visiting a Durham County Council leisure centre between Friday 18 and Monday 21 January can pick up a free three-day pass, which they can use to try out the gym and swim sessions, and selected fitness classes.
Gym users will receive a free individual introduction to the centre, including a tailor-made personal induction plan.
Kaye Stephenson, principal aquatics manager, said: “New year can be a great incentive for people to get fit and start new habits. For people who are new to our leisure centres, who may not know what to expect, this gym and swim offer is a great chance to come and try out the great range of activities and facilities we have available.”
For those who are ready to commit, a great membership offer is available this month too. Anyone who signs up to a direct debit gym or swim membership between Saturday 19 and Thursday 31 January can sign up for just £5 and pay nothing until March 2019.
Memberships can be purchased online at www.durham.gov.uk/leisurecentrememberships or in person at a participating leisure centre.
