Last Thursday, May’s local elections were announced, and many of the town’s Labour candidates came together to launch their campaigns for the County and Town Councils.  Candidates’ Agent Ian Wiggett told the Newton News: “We have a strong Labour Team of candidates, and have planned a vigorous and positive campaign.  We will be out on the doorstep, and are excited about our promises for the next four years.”
