Dear Sir,
What is going on in the Labour Party over the decision to deselect a candidate who has won three elections in the West Ward, twice with the highest vote? Explanations need to be given to Labour voters why a favourite has been discarded in favour of two unknown candidates with no experience at County level.
Readers will remember how our MP and high ranking constituency members were overjoyed when Enid Paylor joined the Party. They stated she was an asset to Labour. There appears to be two factions in the Party and I wonder whose view is more important – branch members who have their own agenda or the Constituency Labour Party who know how to win elections.
A. Thompson.
