In response to Cllr. Warburton’s letter in the 17/08/2012 edition of the Newton News. Neither Ms. Paylor nor Ms. Bowman were dropped like rubbish. They both stood in a democratic selection process of which I was part. If Cllr. Warburton understood anything about democracy he would recognise this.
As to his criticism of Phil Wilson and the Hitachi campaign may I remind him that at the Northern Echo photo shoot no one could get near Phil for him and his independent colleagues. In fact it was the last time I saw Cllr. Warburton in any capacity as a parish councillor.
