Dear Sir,
I read with interest the letter from Alan Jordan, who, in his opinion, tells us that J.D. Clare has done more for this town than our MP, Paul Howell. I personally disagree with his statement.
Our MP listened to what the people wanted, Brexit, and voted for it, and through your paper keeps in contact with us. Mr Clare works for DCC and does not listen to the public, but instead preaches to us, and if you read his letters, he is more trying to boost his own ego and keep his standing on the council.
As Brexit was mentioned and we know both are ardent retainers; Europeans, I wonder what their comments would be now on the EU stance, that we should not have any more vaccine from Europe and we must supply them from our own factories. This is because we are leading the way in getting the vaccine out and the people in Europe are furious with so called leaders of the EU, that they are so far behind us. One statement in the media quoted ‘this is because of Brexit’. Mr Jordan told us we would suffer on vaccine supply, because we had left the EU, another wrong assumption.
On the more positive side, let us all help and keep to the lockdown rules.
