If you’re looking for something fun and different to do with the kids during the summer holidays that doesn’t cost a fortune, there’s plenty going on at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe.
New Age Kurling and Boccia Bowls – Fun activities that all the family can enjoy, every Thursday in August, 2 – 3pm. £1.50 per adult and £1.00 per child, including refreshments. Delivered in association with Nouveau Dance and Fitness.
Kids Dance – A mix of street dance and hip hop on Wednesday 20 and 27 August, 10 -11am and 11am – 12 noon. This fun class is only £1.00 per child and refreshments are included. Why not drop the kids off and give Zumba Gold a try? Classes run at the same times and involve a low impact version of the popular Latin American dance and social exercise; it costs £3.50 per adult. Delivered in association with Nouveau Dance and Fitness.
Felt Banner Making Workshop – Drop the kids off or join in with this free activity for all ages on Friday 22 August 10am-1pm. Children and young people are invited to assist in the creation of 2 felt banners which depicts music from the ages. Once complete, visitors to the Pioneering Care Centre will be able to view the banners which will take pride of place in the Mall Coffee Shop conservatory. The workshop includes a free summer snack box per child. Delivered in association with Aycliffe Youth Council.
