Lucy Ellis from School Aycliffe has started a new business in the area covering Newton Aycliffe, Darlington, Sedgefield and Wynyard.
A few months ago Lucy had her first child and naturally wanted to spend time with her daughter but returning to her career as a full-time primary school teacher in Aycliffe meant there was insufficient time to do that.
After taking her daughter to a Kalma Baby yoga class in Durham since she was just six weeks old and seeing how it has helped her development enormously, Lucy decided to leave teaching to set up the Kalma Baby yoga business in Newton Aycliffe, Darlington, Sedgefield and Wynyard.
Kalma Baby is home to Developmental Massage Baby yoga, Toddler yoga, Pre-school and Junior yoga through a variety of classes from six weeks old up to 12 years. These unique sessions make yoga and massage fun with serious developmental benefits and are taught in a safe and stimulating environment. A beautiful world of therapies await your child with Kalma Baby which are devoted to aiding their development. Sessions are kept engaging with the use of singing, music and sensory. They are structured following Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum and Special Educational Needs which bring the peace of mind your child will reap the benefits of a healthy mind and body whilst learning.
The benefits you can expect your children to gain through yoga are helping to develop gross motor skills, promoting deeper sleeping patterns, better coordination, body awareness and confidence along with balance and flexibility to name a few!
Lucy will kick off with a FREE taster class for babies from six weeks old to crawling which will take place on Wednesday 6th June from 10:00 to 10:45 in St Mary’s Church Hall on Burn Lane (opposite Tesco). Classes for older children will follow shortly.
To reserve your FREE place, please book online at www.kalmababy.co.uk/Darlington/ or give Lucy a call on 07738 853198.
