Dear Sir,

According to my dictionary/thesaurus the word ‘democracy’ means government by elected representatives favouring popular rights.

These representatives are expected to have three main responsibilities ie to their constituents, Parliament, their political party and represent local interests.

‘Referendum’ is the submitting of a question to the electorate. When the result of the referendum showed a majority wishing to leave the EU, why are so many Members of Parliament failing to fulfil their obligations in an honourable manner?

We know ‘honourable’ means honest, fair, just and trustworthy! There is not much evidence of the above recently is there?
