A story dash has taken place around Newton Aycliffe and Shildon. Linking in with National Bookstart Week, One Point staff from Durham County Council’s children’s centres in the two towns dashed between local schools and nurseries reading stories.
This year’s theme was ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ and as well as the story, a range of activities including craft activities, animal hunts and jungle related rhymes kept little ones amused.
