Dear Sir,
Food Parcels
The last lockdown encountered so many food parcels being prepared . . . this time we believe it will be the same again, people not being able to work, people struggling to buy food.
We will be taking referrals through agencies such as Livin, social services, One Point, the Job Centre, Durham Locate and the Police.
A self referral will require evidence of need.
We will also offer our shopping service to those who cannot get out to shop, but have the finances to buy food.
Take Away Food
We will also continue our take-out food as this also is a service for vulnerable people, this will involve collection or delivery as required (Government guidelines will be followed in these cases).
The surplus food will continue to be collected and we are looking at ways of how we can distribute this fairly and safely.
Volunteers Required
We urgently require more volunteers to deliver foodbank parcels, do shopping for vulnerable people, collect surplus food on the evenings; your own transport is essential. If you would like to volunteer please contact us:
