Junction 7 during this time of the COVID19 crisis are offering a Foodbank service. This is for people who have little or no money to buy food. We can be contacted via email or phone to see if you are eligible for this service.

We rely on donations of food from our community and the people of Aycliffe, as we are an independent Foodbank.

Any food donations will be greatly appreciated. We would like to thank everyone who has donated.

We still continue to collect surplus fresh food from supermarkets. We have been amazed at the donations from Darlington stores, Morrisons on North Road and Morton Park. We also continue our usual pick ups from Darlington Co ops, Bishop and Spennymoor Asda, Aycliffe Sainsburys and Tesco.

We also offer a shopping service for vulnerable people or people who are staying at home because of the government/NHS request.

This will involve a phone call to take the clients details. A suitable volunteer will then be matched with the client. Not only will the volunteer do the shopping but they will also keep in contact with the client to check on them, and hopefully help with the loneliness many people are encountering.

Junction 7 has just provided free packed lunches to 75 children each day over the Easter holidays. This was funded by GAMP

Each child received a varied packed lunch and activities to do at home.

Junction 7 is run by volunteers, we do this because we are very much aware of the need in Aycliffe and surrounding areas.

Without our amazing volunteers we could not help the amount of people we do.
