As a long term resident of Woodham I wish to offer my sincere and grateful thanks to Stephen, Janet and Timothy Jones for their many years unstinting service to the local community through their shop and work on behalf of the Post Office.
I remember when the shop etc., was built over 30 years ago and known the family all of that time. Many people will be sad that their newspapers etc., will not be delivered after 28th January nor will they have access to general goods in the shop or Post Office facilities.
The Jones’ family have always been courteous, helpful, understanding and cheerful. My family and I will miss them as, no doubt, so will many others.
I wish Stephen and Janet many relaxing, healthy and happy years together in their retirement.
