Jed Hillary – An active Labour Party supporter, organiser, and Secretary of the Neville (Aycliffe East) Branch of the Labour Party, I am a manager with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and a Staff Governor on the Trust’s Governing Council.
Following a 17-year military career in the Light Infantry I have held management positions in manufacturing, retail, utilities and healthcare, giving me sound practical experience of people and asset management. I am also the Trustee of a registered charity. These skills will stand me in good stead as your elected representative and I will bring that management experience to bear on your behalf.
I am standing as the Labour Party candidate for Durham County Council in Aycliffe East and for Great Aycliffe Town Council in the Neville Ward.
In November 2012 the residents of Neville Ward placed their trust in me to be their elected representative on GATC. Prior to election I sat on the GATC Customer Panel for four years. I’ve been involved in a number of community improvement programmes in the Town and I’m passionate about maintaining the high standards of service we currently enjoy and an environment that we deserve. You have my word that I will continue to put the needs of the residents of the Neville Ward and Great Aycliffe first and foremost in my role as a Town Councillor.
Great Aycliffe needs a strong voice at County Hall. Together, your Labour candidates can give you that voice and help to safeguard the prosperity of our area and protect the vulnerable. I can assure you that the interests of Great Aycliffe and its residents will be first and foremost in my activities at County Hall and in the community. On your behalf I will strive to provide the best outcomes for you.
