Dear Sir
Regarding the van parked at Simpasture – I feel the words ‘Wreckless Driver’ is a bit over the top! The resident could have asked me to move instead of childish, pathetic actions.
If the police walked by and saw cars parked there then they obviously didn’t think there was a problem, or is this resident trying to push the hand of the police?
I was working in the area and needed close access to my vehicle and there were no signs to say ‘No Parking’. I left enough space to walk past with pushchairs, wheelchairs and I was there no longer than 15 minutes.
The resident must have been curtain twitching and has too much time on his/her hand and needs to take up another hobby or job.
I don’t actually read the Newton News so didn’t realise there was an issue with parking at this point! As far as I’m aware there is no problem parking on a paved area as long as you are not restricting shop fronts and there is clear access for people to pass by.
