Rose Lodge Care Home in Newton Aycliffe will once again be opening its doors to the public to host their latest ‘Come Dine With Me’ luncheon.
The event is set to take place on Thursday 28th April. Guests are invited to attend a pre-dinner reception at 1pm, with dinner served from 1:15pm.
Those seeking a fine dining experience can choose from two three-course menus on the day, with diners voting for their favourite at the end of the event.
Menu 1 features a spring roll with crispy house salad and mango chutney starter, followed by a pan-friend chicken with parsley butter new potatoes, seasonal vegetables and white cream sauce main, finished off with a cheese board with breads, crackers and grape selection.
Menu 2 has a starter of Brussels pate served on toasted ciabatta with crispy house salad and caramelised onion chutney, followed by herb crusted salmon with parsley butter new potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a tomato pesto sauce, finishing with an Eaton mess and cream dessert.
The home is requesting a £5 donation from those wishing to attend. They also ask that visitors call the home to book a place beforehand, with payment due upon booking as places are limited.
