Ron Mitchie chairman of GACAP (Great Aycliffe Community Aid Partnership) was flying the flag for GACAP and Western Area Regeneration Project last week, firstly joining with other agencies he joined in litter picking and tree planting at the rear of Silverdale Place.
Western Area Regeneration Project have consulted with residents both sides of Williamfield Way in respect of possible significant improvements in that area. Both Ron and his wife Joan are Champions of the scheme which has extensively sort the opinion of local residents as to how the area might be improved.
Ron was later joined by GACAP Secretary Joan Mitchie who had been busy with other voluntary work. They both went to CDFHS at Chilton for their Open & Networking Day.
There were an encouraging number of people dropping in throughout the day, each adding to the white board which was full of names and organisations who directly or indirectly were involved in offering help and support to people who found themselves in need.
GACAP hold their next meeting at Disc offices by the Blue Bridge on Monday 5th February at 3.45 pm with networking and refreshments.
The meeting will commence at 4pm. Further networking is also possible at the end of the meeting.
Please feel free to come along and see for yourself what GACAP is about and decide for yourself if you or your organisation could become a partner or a friend of GACAP.
