Non-native species are invading the environment. New invaders are expected soon. What are they and how can we help avoid the spread?
There will be an illustrated talk in Brafferton Village Hall on Thursday 14 May at 7.15 pm, preceded by a short identification walk by the River Skerne. Meet at the bridge by Hallgarth at 6.30pm. The event is free of charge.
John Musham, INNS Co-ordinator for Tees River Trust, will tell us more about invasive plants and animals which harm the environment, block up waterways, and can be very painful. If you like walking, gardening, bees, have a garden pond, own land beside a waterway, enjoy watersports or picnics by a river – this night will interest you.
Refreshments available and there will be a raffle, with funds going to support the Village Hall Association.
