A ‘wicked’ selection of magical ice sculptures are set to be unveiled in Darlington town centre on Saturday 7th December from 11am–3pm.
Families are invited to search for different festive sculptures and take some selfies around the town centre. Among the attractions there will be a sculpture inspired by the new Wicked movie, the chance to climb aboard an icy Darly the magical train, visit a very famous train station and meet a frozen cartoon superstar – ‘for real life’!
The sculptures will be all around the town centre including the yards and St Cuthbert’s Church. Trail maps will be available on the day and can be seen online at the Enjoy Darlington website www.enjoydarlington.co.uk
Chris McEwan, cabinet member for economy, said: “The ice sculpture trail is always a great event and, following the successful Christmas light switch on, it’s a great way for everyone to join in the festive spirit. I hope people will also take the opportunity to do some Christmas shopping, visit our fantastic independent shops and grab a hot drink and some food in one of the many restaurants and cafes in the town centre.”
