Dear Sir,

We would be delighted if your readers could show their support for Hospice Care Week (03-09 October) and take time to learn more about hospice care in their local community and the support offered by Butterwick Hospice Care.

Every year Butterwick Hospice offers specialist care and helpful support to more than 2,000 local people of all ages in the Teesside and County Durham areas as well as also supporting families who are caring for a child or children who are suffering from a life limiting illness across North Yorkshire and Wearside. This support is unique to the individual, helping those with a life-limiting illness to live life as fully as possible and supporting their loved ones through many challenges.

The theme for Hospice Care Week this year is ‘Hospice Care Is…’ and we are keen to show just how varied and surprising Butterwick Hospice’s work can be. Everything that Butterwick does is only possible because of the dedication of skilled staff and hundreds of volunteers, plus of course, the vital financial support of people within the communities we freely serve.

We invite people to show their support on social media during Hospice Care Week, and to share their thoughts and experiences of what #hospicecareis to them. For more information visit www.butterwick.org.uk/hospicecareweek2016 People can post their thoughts of what Hospice Care is to them on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/butterwickhospice

Many thanks for your much appreciated support
