On Tuesday 6th October, pupils from Horndale County Infant & Nursery School completed a Colour Run raising funds for the ‘Race for Life’. Pupils brought donations totalling £43.08 for this worthwhile cause and completed as many laps as they could within their Covid secure class bubbles.
It has been a difficult time re-adjusting to school life and the boys and girls had great fun. Headteacher Craig Brown stated “After what has been such a difficult year it was wonderful to see the children smiling, laughing and enjoying themselves. Pupils have shown how strong and determined they can be, although their mental well-being has been affected by the global pandemic they have really shown their resilience in the last few weeks.”
The event was co-ordinated by Paul Donaghy from Go Well, a local Sports Partnership, who aim to inspire and build healthy active futures. Horndale Infants will continue to work with Go Well on other ventures throughout the rest of the academic year to maximise the power of movement and wellness.
