Eva, a pupil from Horndale County Infant & Nursery School, paid her respects on behalf of the school in London last weekend as she attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
Eva’s Dad had been working as part of the Queen’s funeral procession over the last week on behalf of the RAF. Eva visited London at the weekend to pay her respects with her family and kindly offered to lay a wreath on behalf of Horndale Infants. Thank you Eva for doing this special job!
Eva’s mum said “London was lovely, such an atmosphere of change, sadness and thankfulness. Eva chose a lovely spot in Green Park to lay the wreath, it came along to Buckingham Palace first though!”
What a well travelled wreath! Thank you so much Eva, it means so much to the Horndale community that you were able to lay the wreath and take down some cards and artwork from pupils at Horndale Infants. Eva also managed to get a few photos of some of the other tributes to the Queen, can you recognise any more familiar faces?
