What an exciting week it was at Horndale School!
First of all the children had a visit from the big man himself, Father Christmas, followed by our Christmas dinner, which was amazing. Not only that, but on Wednesday 16th December, we were able to hand out a Christmas Food Hamper to every family in school!
Despite all the doom and gloom that 2020 has brought us, the school put together a fabulous festive hamper with delicious delights for every family to enjoy this winter. Headteacher, Craig Brown, stated “we know that every family has had a difficult year and with the support of Gregg’s, Wilkinson’s, Taylor Shaw and The Sports Club Big Boys, we were able to put together some amazing hampers full of treats for all of the family to enjoy. Parents were very grateful for the hampers with comments on the school social media page including: “Thank you so much for our lovely Christmas hamper, what an unexpected surprise!” “You always go above and beyond for the children, we are so grateful for everything you do! xx”.
Another parent commented “Thank you so much for the hamper, very much appreciated! Hope all the staff have an amazing Christmas, it’s so very deserved! xx”.
The week before we broke up for Christmas also saw the launch of our Virtual Christmas Production.
“A big thank you to all our parents for supporting us, I wish you all a safe and happy new year” said Mr. Brown.
