Horndale Hound was amazed at the turnout for Horndale Residents Association and Aycliffe Evangelical Church Easter Fun Day held on Saturday afternoon. The free event was such a success we ran out of balloons, we started with 100, sweets, hot cross buns, 128 servings, the only thing we didn’t run out of was fun. Most people stayed for the whole 2 hrs joining in the games, face painting, enjoying refreshments, egg decorating and egg hunt. Tony Simpson, church pastor, organised games for the older children and the younger ones played with the soft toys etc. The Police marked more bikes than at just a bike marking event and gave out crime prevention equipment and advice thus making Aycliffe a safer place to live.
Thanks must go to the Mayor and her consort and all the helpers who made this a great community event for all ages to enjoy.
