It is with regret I have cancelled the Anti-Loan Shark Week planned for June. After a lot of thought I came to this decision to protect the name of our Association and stop a possible white elephant which ultimately would have caused us a lot of embarrassment and problems in any further projects we organise.
I won’t go into details but will say it was due to lack of support and a high expectation from the representative of the Anti-Loan Shark team. I fulfilled everything I promised when starting to organise this event and spent 3 months working on it,
It was with a heavy heart but felt this decision was the best for our Association. I will still support the Anti-Loan Shark team’s work as the problem is worsening on a weekly basis. If you have money problems please get help, speak to Citizen Advice Bureau, or Livin if you’re a tenant. There are agencies that help with sorting and giving advice.
