Hitachi have applied to the County Council to build a new to the west of their existing plant. The 4000 square metre building will house 18 vehicle holding bays and will match the metal cladding of the Hitachi factory. This new building will probably hold completed rolling stock ready for delivery for the Scottish contract Hitachi are currently manufacturing.
