At Middridge Village Hall on Thursday 14th December at 7.30pm.
Dr. Richard Pears will give a talk on: David Stephenson (1757-1819), Architect and Town Planner.
Stephenson designed the All Saints Church in Newcastle, a superb Georgian building, as well as Mosely and Dean Streets in the city.
He was Architect to the Duke of Northumberland, working at North Shields, and on Alnwick and Prudhoe Castles.
He was one of the founders of the Newcastle Literary & Philosophical Society and built a country house for himself at Waldridge Hall near Chester-le-Street.
Entrance is £3, including refreshments, and everyone is most welcome.
