A TEAM of legal eagles are preparing to push themselves to the limit on an Army-style assault course to raise money for the Education Centre for Children with Down Syndrome in Newton Aycliffe.
Partners, solicitors, rep-resentatives and support staff from Hewitts, one of the region’s largest legal firms, are already in training for Armageddon III, a gruelling charity fundraiser in June.
The day-long challenge, held at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club, on Saturday, June 6, will see teams taking part in a series of endurance tests, such as commando duels and stretcher chariot races.
As well as the endurance challenges, there will be a climbing wall, bouncy castle and barbecue for spectators.
Partner, Darren Brown said: “We will get muddy, we will get wet but we will undoubtedly have fun.”
As the team prepares for the challenge they plan to post regular updates on the Hewitts website (www.hewitts.co.uk).
Supporters will also be able to keep up-to-date via Facebook (www.facebook.com/HewittsSolicitors) and Twitter (@HewittsLawyers).
Darren added: “We are proud to be undertaking this challenge in support of ECCDS which provides care and support for children with Down Syndrome and their families. The work the ECCDS undertake is vital to the continuing care and development of the children and we would be grateful to anyone who wishes to sponsor our team.”
