Honest John’s Aycliffe Community Kitty is now raising funds over the next few weeks for N.A.S.S.L. (National Animal Sanctuary Support League), which was founded over 30 years ago by Ray Mackinlay and Pauline Wilson, two of the most dedicated animal lovers I have ever met.
They both reside in Newton Aycliffe and I know that they have helped what must amount to thousands of animals and pet owners over the years in and around the area.
They certainly deserve some recognition for the hard work and pure love they have shown towards animals in need, 24/7, but wanting recognition is not their style.
They are two genuine folk, with hearts of gold. There for needy animals, young and old.
If you would like to support them over the next few weeks at my shop, please come along. They are always in need of cat and dog food, bird seed, old fashioned thick blankets, towels, sheets (not duvets) and of course a few pennies which they do make go a long way!
Call in to Honest John’s between 10.00am and 4.00pm, six days a week to drop off or browse (closed Sundays). John
