Due to huge popularity the Helping Hands team hosted yet another Fashion Show Giveaway. Our guests were welcomed and given drinks and pastries on arrival, donated by Tesco’s. Very swiftly the models gracefully took the floor to display the beautiful clothing, shoes and accessories.
Most of the models were from Life Church in Newton Aycliffe that meets every Thursday at Greenfield School main hall at 6.30pm. The age ranges were from teens to a lovely pensioner! As we like to point out we honestly don’t want to be supermodels; we just want to be role models.
Not one item of the beautiful clothes and shoes were sold but were given away free to those who need them the most! Entry was by invitation and each person received five vouchers to redeem on the evening for items of their choice. We had a range of new ladies clothing from size 8 – 24 and this time we introduced a selection of men’s clothing
This fashion show was organised by Kerry Wootton who said we wanted to go the extra mile making our guests feel special by providing them with something special. We really wanted them to feel good about themselves, which I believed we achieved! It was a lot of hard work but it was wonderful to see the clothes looking so great on the models who looked relaxed and happy as they walked down the catwalk.
Helping Hands thoroughly enjoyed putting on the fashion show and are very much looking forward to our next one in the New Year.
