A charity supporting bereaved children could win up to £100,000 after reaching the national final of an award scheme.
The Butterwick Kidz Club is among the finalists in the “Building Futures” initiative by Persimmon Homes, in association with Team GB – the British Olympic Association.
The Kidz Club, run by Butterwick Hospice, was initially awarded £1,000 as a local winner and went on to scoop £5,000 in the regional heats.
The club is now one of 32 finalists in the national final, with £25,000, £50,000 or £100,000 up for grabs.
The winners will be decided by public vote between now and September 27 and Butterwick Hospice Care is urging its supporters to play their part in backing the Kidz Club.
Debbie Jones, Chief Executive of Butterwick Hospice Care, said: “The Kidz Club does a priceless job in supporting bereaved children at the most difficult time in their lives – so please vote to help us secure funding to help us develop this vital service.”
