Have you an hour to spare. If so you are desperately needed.
The Town’s Food Bank which runs from St. Clare’s church hall in the town centre is badly in need of people who could help out if only for an hour each session. This food bank is NOT run by the church, it is only using their premises. If you could possibly help out in any way please do get in touch with Kath Pinner or any of the staff there. The food bank is open every Wednesday and Friday afternoon from around 10.30 until 3.30pm. It held in the rear hall of the church building which is around the back of the church and has a small car park.
If there are any other churches in our town especially those who are in Churches Together in Great Aycliffe could you please give out this notice in your services and encourage your congregations to think about helping out. At the present time the Food Bank is running with a very small band of helpers who are very much in need of your help, you do not have to stay all the time just do as much as you can.
The staff there are trying to cope as best they can, but food bank has a large amount of folks coming along from not just our town but nearby ones as well. Thank you so much for reading this article, and let’s hope it proves fruitful.
