For the second year running, Gordon Fletcher & Sons, the independent Family Funeral Directors now based at Cobblers Hall Village centre, have made a substantial donation to St Mary’s Church for the production of its weekly Parish Newsletter.
Fr Michael Campion, Parish Priest at St Mary’s, told Newton News: “Our weekly Newsletter is read by up to 800 people in Newton Aycliffe and Shildon every week. We are very grateful to the Fletcher family for this generous donation towards our running costs. As I frequently witness at first hand, Gordon and Peter Fletcher offer a caring and good value for money service to members of the community at what can be a very difficult and stressful time in people’s lives. In our Church community we value this service highly.”
Fletcher and Sons has been serving Spennymoor and the surrounding areas since 1938. They opened their new office and Chapels of Rest at Cobblers Hall in 2011.
