Heighington welcomed St Marys to the parish this week.
Heighington started with Louie in goal, Kyleo and Liam at the back with Tyler in the middle & Kenzi up top. St Marys took the lead. After a free kick from the edge of the box was bravely saved by Louie, the rebound was driven home.
Kenzi then set up Kyleo who bent an effort in to the top corner to level things up. Tyler then found the top corner with a wonder strike to put the hosts ahead. Liam was a rock at the back, whilst Louie made a good save as well. Heighington went in at the break 2-1 up.
Kyleo then squared for Tyler who rifled home Heighington’s 3rd. A similar move saw Kenzi slot home soon afterwards. Before Kenzi bent home a free kick, Maddix was introduced for the last 10 minutes, then the goal of the game, Kyleo skipped a challenge on the right hand touch line just ahead of halfway before he unleashed a stunning strike into the far top corner, FT 6-1 which saw Heighington advance to the Semi Finals.
The second game saw Kenzi go in goal, Kieran as a one man defence, the tireless Maddix in midfield and Archie and Zane up top.
Heighington then took the lead as Kieran moved out from the back and found Zane who then found Maddix who slipped Archie in to score the 1st. A wonderful team goal. Maddix then slotted home a second from the edge of the area, giving the keeper the eyes. The score at HT 2-0
Kenzi made 4 or 5 one on one saves at the start of the 2nd half as the visitors came on strong, they did pull a goal back after a goal mouth scramble. Heighington were now struggling to get back from their attacks and St Marys scored 3 quick fire goals to go 4-2 up and finish the scoring.
